At the end of May (pretty much a month ago), Trevor and I spent a weekend at the Yorkton Short Film Festival, where Trevor's short film Van Go! was screened and in competition for Best Entertainment and Performing Arts category. Long story short is that we didn't win, but we ate lobster, went skeet-shooting and saw some pretty awesome short films. The best part was the people we met, including some guys who work on College Humor who had a pretty awesome short in the Comedy category (they didn't win either).
At the University of Regina, they usually planned a bus of students who could go to the festival, but I never went. It was nice that for our first time there, we were able to have a film in competition.
Plus, it gave me the inspiration to update Trevor's filmmaking website!
