Garlic Bread

I've just consumed 3 slices of garlic bread and its only 443pm. I'm not sure if this constitutes as supper, but it wouldn't be the first time that I've had garlic bread for supper. Garlic bread is pretty much one of my favourite foods of all time.

Really though, what's better than a crusty loaf of bread that is crunchy on the outside, warm, moist and garlicky on the inside. Garlic bread is better from the supermarket, since bakeries seem to be the best at putting copious amounts of garlic, butter and olive oil slathered between each individual slice. Garlic bread is also better slightly undercooked, with the crunchy outside and slightly soggy-from-all-buttery-garlic-goodess inside.

From a young age, I've always loved garlic bread. I have a vivid memory as a child of my mother making meat spaghetti and garlic bread for supper and being way more excited for the latter than the former. I get excited when I go to Red Lobster because I can eat a basket of their garlic buns myself and then I usually take most of my pasta supper home. There have been times where Trevor has been away for the night and I've actually bought an entire loaf of garlic bread for supper, apparently being too lazy to cook.

When we saw Scott Pilgrim, there is a scene from the books and the film where the two main characters eat garlic bread and the discussion of how bread makes people fat (duh). It almost made my love of garlic bread less appealing because it suddenly seemed very hipster and popular to love garlic bread and I have a general dislike for 90% of hipsters.

But it's probably because Trevor hates hipsters and his hatred of them has rubbed off on me.

I still love garlic bread though.

There is nothing wrong with Hipsters! We just have to learn how to market to them - think of their market potential!

And now I hate myself...just a little bit.

But, yeah, I don't know why people feel such hatred towards hipsters. So people think it's cool to like something that isn't mainstream. You know what's worse - people who only like what is mainstream! So, be somebody inbetween...or just be you. Now, that's hard to find!

Mmmm...garlic bread. I don't eat butter anymore, but white bread is my candy - especially as the seasons change - and I LOVE garlic! Some things never change...
